About Us

Ed Martin was born in Southern California in 1942. He spent most of his adult life surfing up and down the West Coast, Mexico and Hawaii. During the time he spent in Hawaii (1965-69), he attended the University of Hawaii studying Oceanography, and started the Armed Forces Surf Team.

Ed’s wife, Leslee, is the co-inventor of the Add-A-Cabana™ and is a retired sales account manager from a large communications firm.

Ed and Leslee have enjoyed traveling and camping and saw the need for the Add-A-Cabana™ design in their adventures. Privacy, changing clothes, sleeping in the van or SUV never seemed comfortable until the cabana idea struck Ed 5 years ago. Through testing many prototypes, Ed and Leslee believe they have found the simplest and quickest way to have those creature comforts.
